Visitor logs can show traffic rates, but they don't show the relative strength of the site in the major Search Engines.
The Search Engine Patroller provides the opportunity for you to monitor the Search Engine Result Positions (SERP) of your website compared to some competitors for a variety of search phrases. Results are gathered for all phrases and competing domains on the same day and stored for various reporting options.

Historical reports show how a domain has performed over time for each of the search phrases in the major engines. Again, weekly or monthly reports and can be optionally scheduled for mailing. View a sample historical report.
Alerts can be configured weekly and monthly mailouts. When a domain's SERP fluctuates by an amount greater than the tolerance determined by our algorithms for a particular phrase(s), all such fluctuations are collected and mailed. E.g. A movement of 3 places for a domain at SERP 6 is far more significant than a movement of 6 where the domain is at SERP 89. View a sample of an alert mailout.
For the first month, we check the search engines on a daily basis while you adjust the phrases and competitors for which you wish the data to be collected. After this time our policy is to check the phrases in the search engines on the same day each week. Monthly reports and alerts are sent on the first occurrence of that day in the month.
Pricing is currently $A160 pa. An overall discount of 5% is offered for EACH subscribed service after the first.
